After spending time with a group of people,
do you feel energized and ready for anything or do you want to hide in the
corner with a good book?
Generally, I
want to hide in the corner with a good book by myself for awhile after being at
a loud party or in a large group of people mingling. I enjoy going out and
getting to know new people as much as an extroverted person, but at the end of
the day…if I had my choice between big party with lots of activity OR small,
intimate gathering at someone’s home, I’d chose the small, intimate
gathering. I’m not much for small talk,
and I prefer to get into the “intricacies of life” with introspective people
more than getting tipsy and acting silly while talking about the weather or the
latest gossip. I’m not going to say I’ve
never had my moments. It’s good to just let a little steam off now and again,
but ultimately, connecting with others in a real, insightful way is much
preferred for an introvert like myself.
