October 16: Writing Prompt #289-Honorific

October 16th is officially declared “Person X Day” — and you get to pick Person X. Tell us about someone who deserves to be commemorated.
Rae Day! (Don’t you love the sound of that?!)

My friend Rae deserves to be commemorated. Since we were assigned to work together, she has been a ray of sunshine early each morning to help all of us start our day off right.  She is a great listener and very understanding of me when I am distracted and NOT so great at listening or remembering.  J She is loyal, kind, and one of the most generous people I have ever met. And she’s a full-blooded Native American (a Navajo, nonetheless), which I think is very cool! She is very ethical, hard-working, and sweet as pumpkin pie!! I haven’t known her very long, but I consider her a very good friend, someone I can confide in and someone who I know always gives people the benefit of the doubt and works to be a positive influence in their lives.  Her enthusiastic outlook on day-to-day life makes going to work on any day, but especially the most stressful of days, so much easier.  Thank you, Rae, for being my friend. Let’s celebrate a belated “Rae Day” next week.
