Who is the person in your life
who can do no wrong? Describe this person and tell us why you hold them in such
high esteem.
Each person in my life holds a special place there, for varied reasons,
but I wouldn’t say there is anyone in my life who can do no wrong. When I was younger, there were people that I
thought fit this bill, such as my parents, my brothers, my friends, and
eventually boyfriends too, but as I grew up and made many mistakes along the
way, I realized that nobody is perfect, and even those we are closest to may do
things that hurt or disappoint us, and that’s alright. It’s called being
human. It doesn’t mean I don’t hold
them in high esteem as I hold them in higher esteem because of their humility
and understanding. That’s the great
thing about being human…once you know what it means to be human and fallible,
you become much more compassionate because you finally understand others’
mistakes and can empathize with them instead of judging and criticizing. So, who’s “my precious?” Well, each of my close family members and
friends are precious to me because they have all taught me an important lesson or
two about life through their own imperfect experiences and insight.
