You’re given
a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s
the plan?
I can’t say
I have a very creative answer for this one. I think if it was a plot of land in
a nice, private area, I would simply build our dream house, shop for my
husband, and garden to enjoy during retirement (and even before if possible).
We would love to have a plot of land with some old growth forest and/or water
access (be that streams, rivers, or lakes), and enough room to just enjoy
nature. As a society, I don’t think we
spend enough time outside, just enjoying what God created. My children don’t know how to enjoy exploring
the woods; they’ve done very little camping (except on the islands), and they
are part of that video game/TV generation, and to be honest, I don’t have much
experience with nature either. I wish I had more to pass on to them. Although, having a bird dog and living in the
NW has definitely inspired me to not only get out there more, but also learn about
the flora, fauna, birds, and other wildlife indigenous to this state. So, my plot of land would be dedicated to
building a home that doesn’t encroach on nature, but instead inspires me by the
views out the windows, etc…to go out in it and enjoy what all it has to
offer.
