Write about
what you did last weekend as though you’re a music critic reviewing a new
album.
Fascinating
prompt…well, I’ll give it my best shot, so here goes!
Although the
release of last weekend got off to a late start Friday night, the server at Ferrelli’s made up for it by making us laugh
and getting our drinks and delectable sausage macaroni and cheese and spaghetti
and meatballs out to us promptly! From there, the night took us to the bowling
alley where although the 2 games we played were not #1 hits, we enjoyed them
nonetheless.
After a
break in the action for sleep, we once again started the second part of our
weekend off taking our time, but finally made it into the truck and off to the Olympic National Forest and the Murhut Falls
Trail Head. This was definitely the highlight
of the weekend. The falls were music to
our ears; the sunshine was soothing to our souls, and the fresh air was just
was the doctor ordered for all of us, including the dog!!
The too
short weekend concluded with a restful, puttering around the house kind of day,
but it continued to keep us interested, not wanting to stop and get back to our
weekday jobs right away because the day served a need for everyone. Overall, I would rate the weekend an 8 in
terms of opportunities for stress release, 10 in terms of quality family time,
and 7 in terms of productivity time around the house. In the end, I am happy to sacrifice some of
the chore time for the more important stress release and quality time aspects
of the weekend. If you agree these are
the more attractive types of weekend pursuits for you, than you should try out
this weekend itinerary or something similar and accessible to you in your neck of the woods.
