How do you manage your online privacy? Are
there certain things you won’t post in certain places? Information you’ll never
share online? Or do you assume information about you is accessible anyway?
What a
boring topic! Sorry about that. Yes, of course, there are certain things I
won’t post any place, such as my birthday, SSN, etc…Unfortunately, there are
too many people out there who like to steal identities, and I’d prefer it’s not
mine. Sometimes, I feel I reveal too
much, and if someone really wanted to crack “my code,” I’m sure they could, but
I try not to be too much of a target.
Funny, I don’t really even like writing about this, so I’ll be
brief. I have learned a decent amount
about how and what to do and not do in terms of security from living on
military bases and watching AFN(Armed Forces Network). In fact, I’ve learned a
ton just in my training courses from working with the government. That’s one
thing they are very good at, making sure you are trained in everything possible
all at one time. J But anyway, yes, I do try to manage my online
privacy and not share too much, but I also assume there’s more out there about
me that is easily accessible than probably should be. What about you? Do you think about privacy
when you post online?
